This is a finely ground wood powder of zelkova tree.
Used for kokuso (Urushi filler work).
Mix with nori-urushi (starch paste Urushi) or mugi-urushi (wheat paste Urushi) to make a paste, and apply to fill scratches, cracks, or other imperfections in the substrate.
Equivalent to #40 grit.
